It must be fate! Alas I have never read Benford, and I have little interest in science, but "master literary stylist" sounds just about right... ;)

I am: Arthur C. Clarke.
Well known for nonfiction science writing and for early promotion of the effort toward space travel, his fiction was often grand and visionary.
no clue who that is.........

Dennis, I forgive you! But just FYI: Clarke is best known, at least to me, for writing 2001: A Space Odyssey (the novel).
